The International Meritage Celebration presented by ARUBA celebrates Virginia’s best bottle of wine – Meritage – and compares it to other Meritage wines from around the world, including wines from the most famous wine region of all – Bordeaux, France. You’ll savor an extraordinary charcuterie spread (plus more bites!) hand-made in-house by Grisette's acclaimed Chefs Donnie Glass and Dylan Nemetz, and mellow music at this elite wine tasting.

Held at beautiful Main Street Station this premier tasting experience features wines primarily from Virginia, California, Washington State, Argentina, and Bordeaux, France.  This luxurious comparative tasting offers a unique opportunity to taste many of Virginia's most coveted and award-winning wines and learn how they stack up to other highly regarded Bordeaux blend wines from around the world.

Meritage wines rank among the world’s most sought-after, age-worthy, and highly rated bottles, often aging well for decades.

In Virginia, red Meritage wines have garnered more Gold Medals at the Virginia’s Governors Cup® competition than any other single varietal or blended wine.  At the IMC you’ll taste the best Meritage wines, including library wines, Virginia has to offer and compare them with Meritage wines from California, Washington State, Australia, Bordeaux, and other wine regions.

Red Meritage wines, which are crafted in the Bordeaux tradition, blend two or more of the classic red Bordeaux varietals, including Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, St. Macaire, Carmenere (grown in Chile), and Malbec (primarily grown in Cahors, France, and Argentina).

The International Meritage Celebration presented by ARUBA will also feature a selection of white Meritage wines and single varietal red and white Virginia wines crafted using traditional Bordeaux varietals such as Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sauvignon Blanc.

Special Note on Pricing for This Event

  • The ticket pricing for this event is subject to change in early 2023 due to price changes made by distributors for many of the elite Meritage wines that will be available to taste.
